Dear participants of the International Forum on Mechanism and Machine Science in Memory of Professor Veniamin Goldfarb (Scientific practical conference «Theory and practice of gearing and gearbox engineering» and SIOMMS-2020)
Due to the emerging COVID-19 issues, travel restrictions, and safety concerns, we have taken the decision to postpone the Forum.
The new dates are 19-21 May 2021 in Izhevsk, Russia, so it will be TPG 20/21 and SIOMMS20/21.
As before, we look forward to welcome many participants from different countries, creating an international and enriching atmosphere.
Stay safe,
Organizing Committee
Institute of Mechanics of Kalashnikov Izhevsk State Technical University (ISTU) is pleased to invite gear researchers to take part in the International Forum on MMS supported by the International Federation for the Promotion of Mechanism and Machine Science (IFToMM). The scientific practical conference «Theory and practice of gearing and gearbox engineering - 20/21» which has been traditionally held in Izhevsk since 1980s aims to bring together researchers, industry experts and students from a broad range of gear related areas and to honor the memory of the world-known gear scientist Prof. Veniamin Iosifovich GOLDFARB (1941-2019). The Forum will also include the 5th Students International Olympiad on Mechanism and Machine Science (SIOMMS 20/21) which was firstly initiated by prof. Goldfarb and held in Izhevsk in 2011 under the support of IFToMM.
The languages of the Conference are English and Russian.
You may apply for participation in the Forum (Conference or/and SIOMMS) with the lecture or as an attendee till March 31, 2021
All papers in English and Russian will be published in the electronic proceedings of the Conference.
Some selected papers in English will be published in Springer contributed volume on gears in MMS series upon the decision of the Scientific
Committee.
At present time we are preparing the application for the next Springer contributed volume on gears (Scopus).
The tentative title of the book is «Gears in Design, Production and Education. In memory of Prof. Veniamin Goldfarb». If you want to
become a co-author of this volume and contribute a manuscript, please,
send us the title of the manuscript, authors and a short abstract of about 200 words
to the e-mail barmina-nat@mail.ru not later than July 10, 2020. The approximate date of
publication will be the end of 2020/beginning of 2021.
